Open Arts Cafe

When I was in London I was fortunate enough to participate in an event with the Open Arts Cafe. It is a monthly themed event for all types of art and artist. I participated in the October show themed High Spirits: A Lighter Look at Spirituality. I displayed several illustrations and sketches, most of them based on the books The Life of Pi by Yann Martel and the Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupéry. Both of which have a very special place in my heart.

Since I’ve left Londontown, I’ve done some of the posters for the OAC. My disgustingly talented friend Martin and I have been scheming up February’s poster. It has been my first attempt with gouache and I’m pretty pleased.
Here’s some photos from the show and a few posters.

Have a looksie.

Just before the doors opened for the show. West London Synagogue.

I’m excited to get to work on next month’s poster! I’ll post it when it is done. That theme is Historia: Slices of the Past
